Philly’s Soraia have been perfecting their blend of 60’s garage, 70’s glam, 80’s decadence, 90’s defiance and 00’s unbridled fun since 2005. Currently led by primary songwriter ZOUZOU MANSOUR (vocals) and TRAVIS SMITH (bass guitar, backing vocals), and joined by MIKE REISMAN (guitar, backing vocals) and BRIANNA SIG (drums, percussion, backing vocals), the band has made a name for themselves recording constantly and touring incessantly. Their tight musicianship and deft handling of their style and influences has garnered the attention of numerous critics and publications, and the INtensity of their studio and live output has helped land them perennial play on Steven VanZandt’s Underground Garage show on Sirius/XM, logging “Coolest Song” respect from Little Stevie himself year after year. None of this comes as a shock though, as the instant you hear Sig’s beat kick in, Reisman’s guitar turn on and Smith’s bass drop, in comes the charmingly rebellious Mansour with an electric wail so pure and primal it makes glass bleed. The gang is all set to release their latest record—and first full length in 3 years—Dead Reckoning—later this year, so get ready to say goodbye to your eardrums, because this band is about to blow the roof off the place.
