What’s IN Weekend Round Up: November 18-20

Jinjoo Cho IN Wilmington

Delaware’s only meadery, Liquid Alchemy, unveils their new cider during The Dark Cide(r) Release on Friday, a nod to National Cider Day, featuring a special happy hour with Delaware Hop Scene. If you haven’t been yet, this is a perfect excuse to go check it out!

Later that evening, Delaware Symphony Orchestra welcomes award-winning violinist Jinjoo Cho to The Grand. It’s a busy weekend for them – Sunday, they host two special #INbudget Family Concerts at Cab Calloway featuring friendly works from Star Wars, West Side Story and more that everyone in the house should enjoy…

Delaware Innovation Week wraps up this weekend #inWilm – we’ve seen a lot of action so far but you definitely don’t want to miss the #DIW2016 Innovation Celebration! Looking forward to seeing who the winners of the 2016 Innovation Awards will be…

Saturday and Sunday, the annual Artisans Show at The Center for the Creative Arts returns offering a chance to get a head start on holiday shopping with 50 of Delaware Valley’s finest crafters. This really is a great opportunity to support local artists AND make sure your lists are checked off with UNIQUE gifts this year. Seriously, I mean really, really cool.

Gable Music’s Small Wonder Sideshow takes over World Cafe Live at The Queen Saturday night showcasing six of the region’s best up-and-coming rock bands like Anatomy of an Outcast, Pariadin and Arden Kind. A small, but mighty, predecessor of Wilmo Rock Circus – may thy rest in peace.

Rocker Andrew W.K. makes a unique stop by Arden Gild Hall Saturday evening on his 50-state speaking tour to discuss The Power of Partying. It’s gonna be weird to not see him rockin’ out, but I think it should be an interesting talk given our current affairs.

And finally, I’m gonna jump ahead a little bit but I want to point out Winterthur’s Yuletide Jazz & Wine Series which kicks off next Wednesday night #inWilm with the Cartoon Christmas Trio. That will continue with a different jazz artist (and wine!) each Wednesday through December 21st. This is an opportunity to explore the galleries in the evening with peers – mix, mingle, enjoy the sights and sounds… you know!
