More than 800 paintings, drawings, illustrations, animations, sculptures, graphic projects and other works are being shown in the 21st annual Delaware College of Art and Design Student Exhibition. Students from each of DCAD's areas of study created the pieces as part of their respective curricula, and faculty members selected the featured artwork and designed and placed the displays. An opening reception will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, February 2, in DCAD's Toni & Stuart B. Young Gallery at 600 N. Market St. The show will remain on view through March 9. Gallery hours are 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Mondays through Fridays and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.Saturdays and Sundays. Admission is free and open to the public. Alumni who attend the opening are invited to continue their evening (and enjoy a drink on DCAD) at a special Alumni Gathering from 8 to 9 p.m. at Merchant Bar, 426 N. Market St.
