TAHIRA Productions, storyteller, musician, vocalist Recommended for Grades 2 - 5 Artist Website  Leaders of the Civil Rights Movement understood that hours of political speeches may not inspire people to action but a 3-minute song can. In this program, students get to explore the issues of racial equality and justice in America during the 1950s and 1960s through song. TAHIRA educates, entertains, and inspires children with her "Musical-ology” – a mix of spoken word and soul-stirring vocals with rhythmic guitar and percussion.  Curriculum Connections: African-American History, Civil Rights, Music, Culture For school reservations, please download a reservation form, email Discovery@grandopera.org, or call (302)658-7897 ext. 3201.
